Wheels/Tires
- What's the bolt pattern for the A4?
5 x 112
- What's the maximum width tire I can run?
If you roll your fenders, you can run as wide as 255's. There are lots
of track junkies who have effectively run this size before. Of course,
you will need to maintain the same proper rolling circumference as much
as possible. This means a tire size of 255/40-17 or 255/35-18. It is recommended
that you use a wheel with a width of at least 8.5" for these tires.
- Will the RS4 wheels fit my A4?
No, they will not fit correctly. The RS4 wheels are 18" x 8.5"
with ET 20. In the front, they would extend beyond the fenders by ~1"
and cause severe rubbing.
- Will the S4 wheels fit my A4?
Yes, they sure will. The S4 wheels are 17" x 7.5" and are a
simple swap.
- Do I need to do an alignment after getting new wheels and tires?
No, you do not. Switching wheels or tires does not affect the suspension
components.
